The large number of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s ministers has been described as a let down.
The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, while reviewing the President’s latest ministerial nominations, said the new government has “let down the masses” because during the electioneering the New Patriotic Party, NPP, promised to “cut down the size of the government” when it comes to power.
“If you are on the Progressive part of government, you are likely to end up with a bigger government.
“Increasing the size of government will mean spending of too much money to run the country… NPP mentioned that they will cut down on government. Unfortunately, they are increasing the numbers.
“They have let down the masses that they will cut down the size of government. They have ended up with a bigger government… they should come out to explain to us.”
