A policemen who was jailed for 15 years for armed robbery has been discharged and acquitted by the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court panel of five justices, led by Justice Jones Dotse, freed the policeman, Tetteh Samadzi.
The apex court however deferred the reason for its ruling.
It would be recalled that Constable Tetteh Samadzi was arrested alongside one Foster on March 6, 2009, for a robbery incident at Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region.
He was was eventually found guilty of the offence by a High court which sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
His lawyers went on appeal but did not succeed, prompting them to approach the Supreme Court.
