Despite flaks from the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, the policy think tank, IMANI Ghana, has given the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration pass mark in its first 100 days in office.
According to IMANI, the performance of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, government has been satisfactory.
The President of the think tank, Franklin Cudjoe, stated this in a chat with Citi News after the screening a documentary to highlights the president’s first 100 days in government.
“What we did was to essentially look at the highlights of some of the important issues –economy, health, energy education, and some other sectors as well.
“So for us, it was more or less setting the pace to understand the policy design that would encourage the government to realize its visions and promises. We’ve moved away from trying to grade the performance even though it’s very easy to do. If you ask me, I would have said that it’s satisfactory,” he added.
It would be recalled that the first 100 days of the Akufo-Addo’s administration has received scathing reviews from opposition figures, especially those of the National Democratic Congress, who have variously described it as deceitful.
